I saw this dubbed in the cinema when it released in the UK, I remember enjoying it a lot while I watched (obviously the visuals are spectacular), but it was when the credits song (Spinning Globe) played with the lyrics subtitled that I truly felt an emotional connection to the themes of the story. The music overall was wonderful, and I appreciated that that song was saved until I could propperly appreciate it. I recently saw The Wild Robot for the first time and thought it was excellent, but was frustrated by the repeated use of the same song at every notable moment in the story. I really remember feeling that The Boy and The Heron's score always seemed deliberate in that way each moment paired with the music.
