If I'm sure I'm going to watch a film, I avoid everything about it that I can including trailers and it still isn't always enough. I saw the new mission impossible recently and the poster featured an image from almost the end of the movie. However, when I'm uncertain about if I'll like a film, particularly if it's a darker genre like a thriller, I occasionally try and find out if it's a very downbeat ending beforehand, but I still try and keep as much of the plot unknown as possible. Just so I go in with the right mindset.

Also I've seen Little Italy twice (years apart with different people) and I don't think any film has ever made me crave a particular food more. Both viewings left me with weeks of longing for a hand-made pizza.
