Very nicely written review, Tom! Age of Ultron definitely had some character choices that I did not fully agree with, but overall it's still a solid movie and doesn't deserve all the hate it gets. I still prefer the original Avengers film to this one, but that has a lot to do with how iconic and groundbreaking that one was; there was just something very special about the core group coming together for the first time. It will be particularly interesting going back to watch this again after
seeing some of Tony's worst fears come true in Infinity War. Poor guy!

I'm going to get hate for saying this but I think Age of Ultron is the best of the Avengers trilogy. I was just warming up to MCU when this movie came out three years ago. The tone had minor inconsistency though and they were times when banter wasn't necessary. Setting up future installments didn't bother me either. Ultron just needed more clear motivation and not just to destroy the Avengers. And I came into the movie with a spoiler by a jerk about Quicksilver's death.

I personally really really REALLY like this one!! Yes there's criticisms that make sense and agree can push people the wrong way, but honestly everything just felt more personal and I personally really liked Ultron, he just never bothered me and kinda enjoyable
One of my personal fave Marvel films and introduced a lot of stuff that would work better in the future of the MCU which is also pretty cool! :)
