Maybe it’s the nostalgia talking, but I still like this movie. I wouldn’t call it a fantastic movie by any means, but I still find it enjoyable. I didn’t even notice how weird it was as a kid. When you are young you are just so accepting of everything.

Well, to be truthful, this movie is actually a guilty pleasure of mine. I like the animation, James Horner’s score, some of the voice actors and even the song Roll Back the Rock (the version sung by Little Richard over the end credits). Even though I actually like this movie, I do think that the whole thing could have been done better. In fact, if all three of Amblimation’s films had been better-executed to begin with and put more effort in being their own thing (both story and animation-wise), I bet the studio itself would have survived longer than it did, even with DreamWorks around.
