Thor and Loki are always entertaining, even if Malekith is a dull villain and the plot with Jane and the Aether is just so-so. Am I the only person who enjoys Darcy?? The comedy bits with Darcy, the intern, and Erik were quite entertaining. ?

I don’t agree about the comparison to Cars 2. But at least Marvel can make good tasting movies just as well as Pixar.

But I didn’t care for Kat Dennings or Zachary Levi in this either. And the tone is more inconsistent beneath its promise of bigger stakes that lives up to the title. I do care for Natalie Portman as Jane but I wish she wasn’t cut from Ragnarok. Loki as ususal is the manipulative and charming stand out in terms of character arc.

I couldn’t agree more. It felt like they didn’t know what to do with her character. They even made it look like she was responsible for Thor’s mother’s fate.

I like Jane pretty well. I haven’t even finished the review yet. Before I even do, I’ll assume Darcy gets her usual snub here. Her bossiness, voice and manner can annoy but instead she cracks me up. Plus, the tension between Thor and the Asgardians is well done. As for the climax, it’s glorious. But… yes, the villain is another dull Marvel villain. And the movie falls short. However, in the NEXT one…

Luckily in the MCU I haven’t gotten a MU film yet so that’s a good thing lol!!
But yeah really agree on a lot of these, it really sucks that Thor didn’t have a good track record with his own standalones until the supposed last Thor film of his trilogy…
