Hmm...I politely disagree. There's going to be a LOT of nostalgia surrounding this movie, coming from fans of the first. We don't necessarily need Pixar to reinvent the wheel with this one if they can give us more memorable moments with these much-loved characters. I agree that Incredibles 2 is coming out in a different film era, but I still think it will more than hold its own.
But yes, Elastigirl is and always will be amazing. :)

An absent character is the bad guy's sister, Evelyn Deavor, who will probably be revlealed to be pulling the strings, another thing is the other superheroes seen the in poster, they'll probably be used for gags and few action set-pieces.

The Incredibles was a satire of superheroes at the time, now superhero movies have changed so much, inc-2 looks out of touch. Just like Big Hero 6, a movie that feels it was made 10 years ago.

The only thing reflecting our time in the movie is Screen-Slaver using screens
( *cough* phones *cough* ) to enslave people and mind-wash them another thing is a feminist theme around Elatigirl, a character who didn't need such thing cuz she held her own amazingly in the first movie and should know better not to be tricked to work with a bad guy like her husband did.

Finally good action is displayed in the trailer, I was surprised by the portal loop dash was running from (inspired by the video game Portal) it looked really cool.
Other than that the story is still a role reversal of the first movie, Elastigirl and Mr.Mom.
And the villain will obviously be the guy who hires supers like the first movie. So am not excited about the story.

I get the feeling from alot of these trailers that there is a huge
section/plotine from the movie that is being completely left out of
them. Alot of what was in this trailer is stuff we already saw or knew
was happening based on the teaser. Perhaps to show more would reveal
some major spoilers, so it makes sense if they are doing it like that. I
just hope it does not turn out to be a surprise villan twist in a
Disney movie yet again.
