I’ve only seen Only Yesterday from him, and it maybe a little uncomfortable in some parts, it was still really gorgeously animated and the main character seemed really sweet! So sorry nonetheless to hear the loss of another phenominal animator, may he rest in peace in the stars and moon 🙂

That’s sad! I enjoyed his film Only Yesterday and I was brave enough to watch Grave of the Fireflies. He was undoubtedly breaking the boundaries in animation in Japan.

Grave of the Fireflies is undoubtedly one of the grittiest, beautiful, and greatest films of all time. Both as an Animated Film, and a War film. Rest In Peace.
