Ahhhhh I 100% agree with this!! This really was a fun rewatch movie not too long ago and it just feels so magical and really like any other professional fairytale film! Seriously one of my favorite retellings of Rapunzel, as well as Barbie flicks, ahhhh I miss old school Barbie….

In reply to JamScoBal. I don't think the subject matter makes something non-indie. For this series we have a wider definition than many wanting to focus on more obscure titles. In the end it is just semantics. Hope you enjoy the review

I just can’t get behind this as an indie film. It is based off of and made by the commercial toy line. The animation studio behind this might have made other films that are considered indie but I wouldn’t count this as one of them.

I remember this film being the first DVD I got growing up. Before that, I mostly had VHS tapes. The film score has a calming and magical feel which would serve as nice background music for painting. I still want Rapunzel’s magical paintbrush.
