Shiver, the Sugar Plum Fairy and Hawthorne look like a lot of fun! I can’t wait to see more of the ballerina. I wish they didn’t make it a “dark twist” like Alice in Wonderland. It also looks too much like Narnia and The Hunger Games. It needs to be more Christmassy and more magical. I didn’t like Beauty and the Beast because I don’t care for that story, but I think they had some good visuals in the rose-shaped castle and the ballroom parties. I also think Mackenzie Foy may be a better actress than Emma Watson, so that helps.

I literally couldn’t tell that was Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy lol!!
I personally can’t WAIT to see this!!! It just looks so magical and very exciting to me, I admit it does look too much like Alice in Wonderland but personally I can’t wait to see this just to look at those visuals and to hear that beautiful music and see those dancers!! HUGE NUTCRACKER FAN DESPITE NEVER SEEING THE BALLET LOL!!

I sure wish that this one will respect the ballet and not force in too much empowerment. It looks visually appealing and for me stunning. I prefer this over Beauty And The Beast any day. But in the end I won’t say anything or even follow up with the trailers until next near. For that I finally had to learn the hard way that teasers can be misleading for the final film (looking at you Cars 3)

But I have hopes for this film and really do like the set and costume design. Reminds me a bit of (Cinderella 2015)

Feels like a combination of Alice in Wonderland with some Narnia sprinkled on top.
Still not interested enough to see it, specially because the last Alice movie was weak.
Disney is starting massive reshoots to the movie and it shows, it needs to look more distinct and magical.

I’m not sure what to think of it yet. I’m really excited to see Disney adapt this story, but I fear that it will try to be edgy like the first Alice movie and Maleficent did, movies which did not appeal to me. It looks like they got a few things right though: the soundtrack and the color scheme.

Costumes and visuals look gorgeous. But I’m not sure if I will like this new Nutcracker with Mother Ginger as the villain!
