Considering that the thumbnail designs could very well be proof of concept designs, the film could go many ways:

– A 2-D hand drawn film made for streaming or TV.

– A low-budget CGI film made for streaming.

-A hand drawn theatrical movie in the veins of My Little Pony the Movie and The SpongeBob movie.

-A high budget CGI film with animation from ILM or Sony ImageWorks.

– A lavishly high budgeted hand drawn film in the veins of a Disney film.

Although to think about, if it is going to be a feature film to screen in theatres, it could might as well be a highly sophisticated film and with the designs in the trailer being early concept art. Now they mentioned a “visually distinct animation style” and calling it a “groundbreaking animated event”. Either the team is overly passionate about the project, or it really is going to be an incredibly captivating and visually striking film. Anyway, what do you think? Either way, I’m still eager to see what they come up with.
