My excitement for this is pretty much equal to my lack of any excitement for a Mario movie. I can’t imagine a character more bland than Mario. They’re already doing all those shorts for free, might as well do something longer and better for a price.

They just need to stick with digital animation and avoid the live action mess that killed Warcraft. We like the digital Warcraft and Overwatch shorts. So don’t mess with them. Don’t add celebrities. Just use what you have.

In reply to Brittany. Yeah, I'm not really a gamer myself, but a movie I would definitely be interested in. So I definitely see this as an opportunity to expand the audience, as you said.

The original Blizzard plans was an animated Overwatch movie (if Big hero 6 was actually reached its potential) but it was too expensive, so they made it a game instead.
It seems after the massive success an animated film seems warranted.

I quite enjoyed a few of the short films I saw. Especially the ones with the ice girl, the peaceful robot, and the gorilla. I’d definitely be interested in seeing a feature film. I don’t think it would make me want to play the game because I don’t enjoy shooters at all, but yeah at least they’d be getting an audience in other platforms.
