It sounds like this one is worth a go…but yes, DreamWorks was definitely releasing way too many films during this time period, and I think it only ended up hurting them.

This is just one of many great quotes from this film. One of the main reasons why I enjoy this film is that it is pure fun with a lighthearted tone. Of the three DreamWorks films released in 2010, two were relatively dark. How to Train Your Dragon was very dark for DreamWorks standards, and Shrek Forever After, while not particularly dark when judged on its own, is the darkest film in the series. Therefore, it was refreshing to see a film from the studio that did not take itself seriously at all. Many comparisons have been made between this film and Despicable Me, but … I think Megamind is the better film. It may be my partiality toward David Cross’ comedic timing, but I much prefer Minion over the minions. In addition, the animation is excellent as usual. Overall, this film was a pleasant surprise upon its release and has high replay value for me.

I liked Megamind and Despicable Me equally. But this one’s campy nature isn’t ususally my thing except when I watch Power Rangers. Both movies are similar in story but different in style of humor and quirk! One thing that disappointed me however was Metroman faking his death to live a normal life.

Megamind was actually the first animated movie I saw on the big screen. I liked it enough but not as much as most people. The characters are just so…unlikable, save for Megamind, and I didn’t really appreciate this style of comedy.

I freaking love Megamind! I love these characters, these jokes, these twists they do on the Superhero formula its just…SO GOOD!! Really one of my personal favorite Dreamworks movies! :33333
