I thought the movie was very well done and I enjoyed it more that some of the more recent entries in the MCU. Definitely thought it was better than Thor 2, for sure. I was glad to see that they got rid of the Kat Dennings character who, for me, was cringe worthy in the last entry and dragged the whole movie down. It was nice to see Thor being Thor without there being a convoluted, forced love story caught up in the middle of all the excitement happening on Asgard. I’d put Thor 3 on par, entertainment wise, with the first two “Guardians” movies. It felt like, for me anyway, that Marvel sort of stepped out of their recognizable formula with this movie and allowed it to be more of it’s “own thing” rather than another extended commercial for the next MCU film (besides the end credits scene, that is). I’m excited to see how this 10 year arc of movies finally culminate with Infinity War. It should be quite the spectacle to witness!

Believe me I entered the MCU between GOTG and Age of Ultron. But the first installment I saw was the Avengers. My favorite entries are Age of Ultron, GOTG Vol 1 Civil War and SM Homecoming.

Only with more visual color and consistent comic relief. Cate Blanchet as Hela makes Elizabeth Banks as Rita in Power Rangers look amateurish! However, I did expect a Civil War level threequel in terms of the Thor solo trilogy. Only without the rest of the Avengers that is. Out of the three MCU installments we’ve been given this year, I enjoyed Spider Man Homecoming the most. Now it is off to 2018 with Black Panther, Infinity War and Ant Man and the Wasp. PS I went last Thursday in IMAX 2D and worth the extra money for the ratio change in Thor Vs. Hulk.
