I think the red dress the Mom is wearing at the end represents a life force, passion, and sacrifice. I don’t know how the Mom dies but maybe she sacrificed herself for the family.

Also it could be that red represents love, passion, and lust and the Mom presents herself in a red dress as the Father is so obsessed with finding her and cannot rest until he finds her as he is still so in love with her.

Also, red represents love, passion, and lust which it seems like the Father is so obsessed to find his wife and still madly in love with her that she reveals herself in a red dress not a white dress. He finally gets to see her one last time so he can stop his obsessive urge to find her and move on.

You are never going to get a film podcast to like this film. Those podcast are run by film snobs aka hipsters who only like foreign films or indie arthouse darlings. They hate everything mainstreem or popular.

Quite a surprise this is the first time I've seen you guys review a live-action film based on a classic cartoon property since for the most part you usually do reviews on animated movies (theatrical, direct-to-video) and hybrid films ("Who Framed Roger Rabbit", "Enchanted").

But awesome review btw. :)

An awesome review! FINALLY someone who gets this movie. (Two other podcasts this month tore this movie apart. They just didn't get it.) For fans of "Casper", The Casper Portal -> https://sites.google.com/site/thecasperportal/ It'll be featuring this podcast on our social media! | Just three stars?! Wha! | Just a couple notes: Carrigan did almost forget her task of getting the treasure, until Dibs reminded her. | Regarding Kat's mother's red dress, that's a good question. But if you recall, when Fatso posed as Amelia, he wore a red dress. Is there a connection? Boo knows. ;)
