Before this film was released, I was skeptical that the humor and pervasive quirkiness that make the shorts such a joy to watch would not translate well into a feature length film. I needn't have worried. This film is among Aardman's best and mixes clever humor, fantastic visuals, and an enjoyable story. I also think that this film has more adult appeal than some other films from the studio, such as Flushed Away or The Pirates! Band of Misfits.

Even though I enjoyed most of the film (Lord Quartermaine, the villain, made me bite my fingers in frustration.), "Chicken Run" was better to me.

While only moderately funny for the most part, this film screams to be called "charming",
"passionate," and "quirky." And you can't help loving a movie that does that.

I'm probably in the minority on this, but I actually found this movie really forgettable. Wallace and Gromit's half hour shorts had a much greater impact on me.
