I actually saw this one in theaters. I remember liking it then. On a much later date I checked it out from the library and it wasn’t as good as I remembered. I should watch it again sometime.

Although I enjoyed most of this film (Favorite quote: “Pickles, eggs and pickles!”), I thought that some of the stuff with Proteus and the city of Syracuse was a little bit boring and tedious.

This one is a lot of fun to watch everytime for me! Sometimes just having a basic fun adventure flick is just fine for me, also Eris sells me on this movie ALWAYS!! She looks and sounds just so thrilling, ahhh never get tired of her character!! :DDD

I actually enjoy this movie, though I consider it to be far from DreamWorks Animation’s best work. My only real problem with it is the story which, as the article mentions, is fairly bland, and I agree that certain plot points would have benefited from more explanation. I think that the voice acting from everyone involved is very good, and the animation is excellent, especially on Eris. Despite my appreciation for this film, I think that the analogy at the end of the article is an accurate description.

This film had so much potential. You can tell that they tried to give more depth into the story with the friendship plotline, and some of that, but…… they never fully develop it. The same thing can be said with the characters, because while it is predictable, you can tell that they were trying to develop it into more. It’s something I can’t say about something like……. The Road to El Dorado.

It’s lighthearted fun, and you can easily invest into it on a basic level, but it’s such a shame that they wanted to make this film for so long, and saturated it.

Now this was the first DreamWorks feature I end up loving. Don’t remember it all entirely. I’m not ususally a canine person but Spike steals the show with his loving personality and habit of licking those he care about. Joke intended for my fellow Friends fans but I hope Jennifer Aniston wasn’t jealous of Brad being paired with Catherine.

Oh, look, another DreamWorks movie I love! It’s a real shame this didn’t do well in the box office, but I know not everyone’s a fan of it. Fair enough, as the story (not unlike El Dorado) isn’t particularly new. But me, I just found the animation to be super fluid and the characters lively and memorable.
