This was a really fun first episode!! Had me invested the entire time and the VAing and comedy were definitely my favorites from this show!! I agree also Webby is my favorite so far she is just so cute and ever so hilarious in this first episode!!
I think my only small criticism was I couldn’t understand Donald in the first couple mins of the episode since I haven’t been completely used to his mannerism of speaking, but luckily I understood most of what he meant and I got used to his speech as the episode went on. I didn’t hate his VAing whatsoever, its just probably from what it felt for listening to his voice full on in a full length show I guess if that makes sense?
I can’t wait for more of this show!! :DDD

One word: Awful.
More words: Animation was made to look like comic pages, but Donald and Scrooge comics NEVER looked like this weird block headed animation style.
Character voices sound nothing like originals or any previous iteration of the characters.
Character personalities are completely different from any prior comic or animation.
Why was Flintheart shaped like a bell?
Donald was virtually incoherent, had to watch with subtitles.
Story was inane and annoying.
I saw NOTHING I liked about this version of DuckTales.

I agree! It’s everything I could want, and so excellently written. And the tease at the end was so deliciously nerdy. The whole thing is deliciously nerdy, fast, sharp, and just good. Frankly, I think it’s going to be, not just better than the original, but a lot better.

In reply to Yellow. I do remember watching Ducktales when Disney XD was called Toon Disney. I just don't remember caring for what I saw since I was only just a kid. My cynicism towards the reboot has now drifted away.

I didn’t watch the original show, but I’ve been looking forward to this reboot, and I agree; the first episode is pretty great! I want to see what they can do with these characters because this is a great start. I too wonder if it’s going to have big continuity.

I’ve yet to watch the reboot but I was pretty disappointed with the voice cast when they announced it. But I’ll wait to judge it until after I’ve seen it

I am starting to care for Ducktales even more than the original. The one hour premiere was amazing. Except for some reason, I didn’t understand every word Donald was saying. The comic book like art style is totally refreshing and vibrant. That cliffhanger in the end was one thing I didn’t expect! The whole Duck family mystery will be fun to explore as we go along. Also did anyone get the Disney Afternoon references because I didn’t?

In reply to aquapyro. I only watch Star Wars Rebels but I'll have to add Spider Man Ducktales and Big Hero 6 to my Disney to watch list. Meanwhile, I'm loving Tangled so far. Next week, Rapunzel returns to the tower to find Pascal who ran away believing he's not meant for the royal life with her.
