I think the joke that made my mother laugh the hardest was the Keanu Reeves joke, when they were trying to find a guest. I honestly enjoyed the adult tone, especially since i was never really a big fan of Muppet Babies.

Well i know alot of Muppet fans who HATE Walter. I know Walter was to represent the muppet fans and their love, but many just saw him as stale cutout.

I mean the show was ok but not in the great category like their movies and their show back in the 70’s.

I think people blow the “adult” content out of proportion. It was never Family Guy level raunch. It was more like a tame early Simpsons crossed with Jim Henson’s idea of adult humor. While I do agree it felt unnecessary in some places, clearly they aimed for a grown-up sitcom they knew kids would still watch. Kind of like The Muppet Show, in a way.

More than anything it’s quite embarrassing the Muppets have had THREE short-lived primetime shows (The Jim Henson Hour, Muppets Tonight, and now this).

You know, I haven’t watched ABC since Agents of Shield ended it’s third season except for some of their holiday specials last year.
