They turn this into a TV segment rather than a concert experience. It cheapens the whole thing and is very cringy.

My favorite segment is Rhapsody in Blue followed by Pomp and Circumstance and The Firebird Suite. Whenever I watch this, I just skip the celebrity introductions (aside from Angela Lansbury because she’s amazing). I find the Bette Midler segment especially annoying because she’s talking about segments that didn’t make it into the film. They should have saved that for the bonus features because it feels like she’s reminding us of what were missing while we’re still watching the film. I would have loved to see that cut March of the Valkyries segment
