I’m not going against your state of debate.

Here are a couple things that lead me in that direction.

First, In RotJ, Yoda specifically states that Luke is the last of the Jedi. This means Asoka (who left the order) and Ezra (who is not yet a Jedi) could still be alive at that time but Kanan’s days are numbered. If Kanan’s death is tragic enough, Ezra could fall just like Anakin did.

Second, we learned in Rebels that Ezra was born the exact same time as Luke and Leia. That’s a very interesting coincidence and kind of feeds upon the idea of the force surrounding everyone and binding everything together. It’s almost like the darkness that created the empire had to go somewhere when the empire fell, so it converts a being the same age of that empire into its new leader.

Third, ever since Ezra cut his hair in season 3, I noticed that he and Snoke have exactly the same head. Size and shape. Add 35 years of age and a little dark side whithering to Ezra’s face, and the likeness is striking.

Fourth, Snoke seems to be a dark side force user, but he never used the term “Sith”. Maul might of turned Erza/Snoke off to the term completely after his impact on Ezra’s life.

Fifth, Evil doesn’t come out a vacuum in stories like this. There always seems to be an impetus that turns a known good guy bad (even if it is temporary).
– Dooku was a known Jedi Master that turned into a Sith apprentice.
– Anakin was a known Jedi knight that became a Sith Lord.
– The Senate was a body that began governing for the people, but would go on to appoint Palpatine Emperor.
– The Jedi Masters began as guardians of peace and justice, but even they would go on to plot a power grab in Episode 3.
(The examples go on and on…)

So where does Snoke come from? Some random dark side user strong enough to convert Han & Leia’s son just appears out of no where with no back story? Not good enough. In Episode 7, Leia spoke to Han about Snoke converting Ben to the dark side, but the way she referred to him, it was almost like she knew Snoke – like they met before. Well, what if they did…? On Lothal…? 40 years beforehand…?
It all fits…

I’m having trouble picturing Ezra becoming Snoke

1. More Wedge. The episode where he sat back and watched Chopper and the other droid argue the whole time was pretty funny.

2. Episode where the rebels get intel of a large weapon being constructed in secret. Viewers will think it’s the death star at first, but ends up being the Executer (super star destroyer) being launched from the shipyards. Bonus points if we get to see how “Captain” Ozzel gets promoted to “Admiral” Ozzel by Darth Vader.

3. Some kind of tragedy so severe that it causes Ezra take his first steps away from the light / being a Jedi and take steps in his life that put him on a path that eventually causes him to become Supreme Leader Snoke 40 years in the future…

4. Do not kill off Thrawn. There’s too much potential material with him now that he’s cannon to kill him off too fast. Better for the emperor to divert him back to the unknown regions to fight threats out there, rather then Hera getting a lucky shot in or [legend spoilers] having the body guard kill him.

5. Would love to see Thrawn replace the inept Lothal imperial officers with his own competent team, including Voss Parck, Gilad Pellaeon, Daric LaRone or Soontir Fel.

Oh yes please! My fantasy is that in this new “SW” storyline, Ezra and Luke team up to build the next generation of Jedi.

I would be surprised if we end up getting a post Return of the Jedi series

I’m hoping for a new series either post-ANH or post-Jedi. Sort of like how this show was a pseudo-sequel to Clone Wars?

Good thing I’m looking forward to Ducktales and Big Hero 6.
