I’m loving this episode. I too had hard time believing IRELAND->ICELAND being “lost in translation”. I love the way Chelsea sarcastically says “language” in 14:47.

In reply to Bob Smith. Because its about marketing. Cree Summer is a nice talented lady but she is no where as well known as Michael J Fox. Its also more then simply putting a famous name in the poster and credits as well. They need someone that can go on Talk Shows, Press Conferences, Fan Events, etc to promote the movie. Cant really do all those things with Cree Summer and draw a ton of attention. Hence we will always get someone famous like Tom Hanks in these roles.

I thought her name was spelled “Kida”, but whatever. And I’d say she’s forgotten because she didn’t do much. Then again, I’m not a big fan of Atlantis because nothing happens in the movie, or nothing interesting at least. Big and explosive action sequences are fun to watch, but even the ones in Atlantis weren’t impressive. Not helping is that there wasn’t much action in the movie, anyways.

I’m also surprised that Kida was voiced by an actual voice actress. Why aren’t voice actors more common in big budget animated movies?

I got a heavy “Castle in the Sky” vibe from this when I saw it.
This if anything should be made in to a live action film but with more Atlantis. Kita could be the main character and she wants to save Atlantis which is dying and also explore the outside world. I think I’m basically thinking of Moana as Kita.

I love listening to this. Everything they talk about is what I constantly think about as a hardcore animation fan. Also, ☆☆☆ rating is spot-on. Good job describing the good things and bad things about Atlantis.
