In reply to aquapyro. I thought it was good as well. Most of the actors gave good performances. With Ewan Mcgregor being the main stand out in the acting and singing part. I dare say his Be Our Guest may be better if not equal too Jerry Orbach. He also fit the womanizing Lumeire better I think. I love Jerry but his Lumeire always came off like an an old flirty Uncle or Grandpa in the original. The only weak area was Emma Thompson. Her singing really didnt fair well and she also didnt capture the motherly side of Miss Potts. I wish Meryl Streep was cast instead.

Is it as good as the original? No. But I think it’s still worth checking out. The costumes, the castle, the sets, and the overall atmosphere is just so beautiful to look at. I like the additions of the new songs as they blended well into the story.If you know the original story, then you’ll appreciate the little changes. I enjoyed the cast overall, but the auto tuning for most of the singing voices was unnecessary. My only problems with the movie is the overall pacing and a few moments that could’ve taken more time to develop. As a whole, I genuinely enjoyed seeing it on the screen and I’m sure you will too!

I have no intention of seeing this, especially not in theaters. The original movie was great as it was, so why support an inferior, charmless clone, which is only telling Disney to make MORE inferior, charmless clones? That’s what sickens me the most about this, that, regardless of quality, people still get suckered into these movies and they’re basically telling Disney “we want more of this,” and we get more pointless, mediocre remakes because of all the money they make. The Sibling Rivalry with Doug and Rob Walker told me all I needed to know about this movie and how it fails to capture what made the original such a classic. Screw these remakes, just re-release the originals in theaters. I’m sure THEY could still make a profit.

i see myself seeing this version alot more than the animated film since my viewing last night with my mom and older brother. We really loved it. And i found it to be just as good, if not better than the original (look i saw the movie 18 years later, it was the only 90’s Disney film i didn’t see as a kid.)

This was a movie I originally had no interest in, but as more info was released on it I got more interested. We went to see it today and I personally really enjoyed it. It may not be as close to perfection as the original, but it’s an honorable re-imagining and worth checking out.

Not gonna lie the autotune on Belle’s voice was insane especially on the “Belle” song, but luckily it got a bit better with her singing as the soundtrack went on but I still haven’t seen this movie yet so opinion may change
I’m still very excited about seeing this and glad some people have some nice things to say, that makes things a bit more hopeful 🙂

I’m not planning on seeing this one in theaters because of numerous reasons. Mostly because it looks like its trying way to hard to be the animated movie instead of trying to be its own movie. I do wonder why they would choose Emma Watson for Belle. Her voice just sounds bad with the auto tune. But since they really wanted to use her as the actress though, I think that they should have dubbed her singing voice instead of auto tuning it

I thought it was ok but I had issues especially with the character designs and singing. My favorite part was the musical set pieces. The new songs didnt do much for me.
