I’m sure there are similarities between The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, but I always got the feeling that The Legend of Korra had a more mature and sometimes darker tone and mood. The series explores the consequences and effects of major social issues like inequality, depression, and PTSD. We see Korra experience some of the after effects of her actions and battles in each season, for better or worse. It’s pretty realistic in some cases.
