I liked the Lego Batman movie last week. I also liked the first two Smurf movies but I didn’t them totally Smurftacular (joke intended). Lost Village should be able to top them! The two writers who did the previous Smurf movies are co-writing Disenchanted the sequel to Enchanted beginning production this summer.

I’ve seen all their movies except Hop. The best Illumination has done so far is DM 2 and Sing.

Yeah I don’t disagree on Illumination. They are the fast food of animation. They make easily digestible, mildly entertaining films but have yet to wow me.

It was action packed, occasionally humorous, astonishingly animated and heartfelt. Perhaps the best stop motion film I’ve ever seen.
