I’m french and I’m hear this version in english and in french. I’ve found the lyrics is better in english than in french because in this version we can feel the desire of the heroine to leave his island to go to sea. In french it is more poetic, the desire is less present, we only say that the sea is a beautiful blue. It is exactly the same with “Let it go”, the lyrics have more meaning in English than in French.

Alesia cara is kinda a new singer but I feel like they modified the song to fit Cara's style. you might know her from the radio song "scars say your beautiful " that is if you listen to the radio. anyway I feel like both versions will be great and I love Cara's voice and what she stands for but that's just my opinion.

I’m not sure if you’re serious or if it’s a joke, but Lin Manuel Miranda (so Miranda is his last name) is the songwriter for Moana.

He is also pretty well known for writing and starring in the musical Hamilton. 😉

The song seems to be pretty generic I want song and Reflection. I wish this film was trying new things this doles not have unique or memorable lyrics. I actually like this pop version mainly because the sound seems new. I am kind of worried about this film.
