In reply to pretto. It was a crime and a travesty, in my opinion the worst snub of last year's ceremony. Arguably the one song out of the entire 78-song shortlist that was not only well-crafted, but played an important role in the plot of the film.

It’s a crime that that “Summer” song wasn’t nominated for an Oscar last year. It’s been stuck in my head ever since I saw the first Shaun movie.

In reply to Jonathan J. North. I think American audiences just do not want stop-mlotilon much for traditional animation these days so marketing is not the main issue. I refer to general audiences like kids now, I know there are animation fans who want these films.

I am so glad that this was not an American film. If it had been treated around the world way Lionsgate treated the American release, there is no way we’d be getting a sequel.

I wish there was another company that could step up to handle American releases of foreign films! GKids does pretty well, but they don’t generally have a wide theatrical release and they don’t get everything. I’d love to see more foreign animated films in theaters!

I’m glad I got to see Shaun in a theater, but that was only because I was specifically looking for a theater to see it, as me and my cousins have been long-time Shaun/Aardman fans, and we were really looking forward to it. Had we known nothing about it, we’d never have seen it.

Aw, that’s great! I was worried if the film had made enough money or not to warrant a sequel. Glad to see that Aardman is doing well, we need Laika to have some competition in the stop-motion circuit after all.

Excellent. As good as Inside Out was, the first film was scene-by-scene my favorite animated film of 2015. ^_^
