I agree Sabatian. The commercials made the movie look like a buddy comedy but we got in the end was so much more than I imagined. I always found it cute when Koda snuggles up to Kenai when they began to share their losses. Traditional hand drawn animation’s heyday might be over but Disney is still full of surprises. And what makes the story worth needing now more than ever today is the story’s message of finding love in unexpected places and tolerance being more powerful than fear or hate of the other.

I don’t blame you. Which is why I prefer a protagonist who stays as likable as possible throughout the plot besides learning life lessons.

If I recall correctly from listening to the filmmakers’ commentary, along with reading the production diary, it was about Kenai’s world view expanding. Which honestly was something I appreciated, it was different and if you think about it, I’m sure animals do see things different from how we do. Now if they see colors more vividly that we do I’m not sure, but it was interesting.

In fairness I think there are some good things about the movie. I’m really curious to see what she has to say.

Well, I guess some people clamor for Beauty and the Beast and some people clamor for … that. I wonder why, she says she doesn’t like talking bad about movies. (Maybe she requested it because she knew no one would want it, save time?)
