If you never have seen the Smurfs before, watch some episodes of the 1980’s cartoon. But DO NOT see the live action Smurfs movies; they are complete crap.

The music was terrible and the jokes in the teaser weren’t funny. The animation looks impressive though and of course, this will be better than the live action version. Overall, this looks to be one of the better films from Sony Animation, although that’s not saying much.

And the backgrounds look really nice too. I feel the same way about this as Trolls, who knows how the story will be, but the cartoony visuals look very nice.

Sadly you are probably right but at least they learned enough to do a reboot and not a 3rd movie like say the Chipmunks keeps doing.
