I named my dog after the dog in this movie. She had a copper coat so I thought it would fit. Sadly she died 10 years ago.

I only saw bits and pieces of it as a kid renting from Blockbuster. My kind of movies don’t even usually have a sad ending like this one! Copper is even more cute however as a grown up then a pup.

I don’t remember much of this one since I first saw it as a first grader and only remember bits and pieces of it, and I tried to watch it when I was older but sadly didn’t finish it
I may not remember much, but this one is an ok one from what I’m hearing 🙂

I used to watch this one so much. It is an all to realistic look at relationships from the point of view of animals. There is a great deal to unpack compared to many other animated films. Watching it today I am floored as to how much is in the film, and how much can be interpreted. I can’t see how I loved this film so much as a young one, given those final moments. They are heart breaking. Although I would classify it as a courageous ending, I can’t say it is satisfying for someone like myself. I do think it is a good film though, it speaks a truth that say something along the lines of, “even though things might end up being an ideal, life goes on and one can find happiness in other ways, and in one’s memories”. The Fox and The Hound is a highly recommended film.
