Ok, out of all the films in the Bronze/Dark ages of Disney, I would pick “Robin Hood”, “The Rescuers” and “The Great Mouse Detective” as my top three favorites from that era, with honorable mentions for “Bedknobs and Broomsticks” and “Pete’s Dragon”.

In reply to Marielle. I'd say Winnie the Pooh is more unabashedly for toddlers. The pacing, run time and style is a little bit more pulled back than Many Adventures. I actually really enjoy both!

Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is my favorite of this era. It’s quite possibly the best movie ever made for small children in my opinion. And Pooh is actually my favorite Disney character.

In reply to Manuel Orozco. None taken. I will admit that the films disney makes today are better films than from almost any period (save the golden age). Its just that there are some aspects of them that I could easily see being dated as the years go by. But honestly thats how I see alot of animated films today. Nothing is entirely timeless.

In reply to Dante Panora. I don't blame you. I was scared by most of their stuff back in the 90's and I'm not just talking Little Mermaid (1989), Beauty and the Beast and Lion King. I prefer the revival era despite how tiny bit overrated Frozen is (no offense intended).

Aside from Robin Hood, this to me is a really week era. But nowhere near as bad as people say it is.

If I am being 100% honest here, I actually prefer this era of Disney to most of the renaissance and the revival. As I kid I felt no great desire to see most of their 90’s films, and something about the current line up screams “2010’s family film”. I know alot of the movies from this time period aren’t great films or anything, but I like how there was a grittiness to it and Disney was something of an oddball in that dark age of animation.
