I didn’t like Snowball, he was just… but I think it’s a solid(?) movie I guess,,, but nothing really exciting and funny. This movie just… has my least favorite characters. Talk about character appeal…this has the most bland characters…ever.
Characters I didn’t like:
Snowball(-_-)
Duke (unappealing at all, sorry)
Pops (elderly dog) (*sigh*)
Tiberius (wierd, just wierd)

Honestly, this movie makes me worry about Grinch. I mean it’s harmless and cute but Grinch needs to be a masterpiece. It seems Illumination gets farther from that with every movie, they just want to be silly and funny and palatable.

Go see ‘Star Trek’. I was lucky enough to get into an early screening and it gave me more to enjoy than ‘The Secret Life of Pets’ Did. Although that is my highly fallible opinion.

My suggestion: if Pets is still in theaters during the first week of August (and it will), then go see it. Don’t torture yourself 😉

As for the movie itself, it’s a surprisingly entertaining Summer diversion, provided you are okay with the fact that it borrows liberally from a number of other, more superior animated offerings.

But the new Star Trek movie is coming out soon and I really want to see that. And I just saw Finding Dory like two weeks ago so I have to save up for Star Trek so this is a dilemma.

(Personal Opinion) You will most likely enjoy yourself if you see it in theaters. It is a completely serviceable film, with some truly great moments. It is not perfect though and you can probably watch the first 15-20 mins of the film, leave the theater and know what is going to happen in the rest of the movie. In summation I think it is worth seeing now. But I do try to see everything so… yeah.

I’ve been excited about this movie since the first trailer but the mixed reviews have me a bit worried. I’ve been avoiding listening to this episode to avoid spoilers for the movie so I don’t know what the hosts have rated the film. Part of me wants to see it just to listen to the Rotoscopers podcast. So I’m still deciding and would appreciate any feedback from anyone about this.
