I think this is my favorite package film as well. It feels more like 2 movies more than a package film. I like the ghost story of Ichabod and the weird story of Mr Toad.

I’m so fond of Mr. Toad as a character. He’s so prepared to chat with and be fond of anyone he comes across… provided they let him do everything he wants. Even when his friends do try to stop his madcap behavior, he’s friends with them the next time he sees them though, like nothing happened. He’s a nutty adventure lover and has so much energy.

Sleepy Hollow is a very strong short as well. I’d say this definitely ends the War Era on a high note.

Omg I love these bundle of movies! Specifically Ichabod’s story the most!
I just love how it is both fun and goofy and then turns to dark and so menacing! Especially love the Headless Horseman song, totally wish I could listen to it more often since its not on iTunes besides different versions of the song….but still love this!!

Yeah, I much prefer the Wind in the Willows segment over the Sleepy Hollow one.

I honestly wasn’t too thrilled with Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, tbh.

Yes, I agree! Definitely the best film out of the package film-era in Disney’s history. Even though I liked some parts in “Sleepy Hollow” (especially the Headless Horseman chase), I enjoy “Wind in the Willows” more because of what Mark said…it’s British charm that helps us like these characters.

If you want to see a live-action remake of both those stories, I highly recommend Terry Jones’ “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride” (for its British charm and comedy and great performance from some of the Monty Python team) and Tim Burton’s “Sleepy Hollow” (for being, in my opinion, the best remake Burton has ever done and a story with an ending that’s not in the book, but quite enjoyable to watch.).

Love this package film, its so fun to watch! And yes, my sister and i sing “merrily on our way” all the time, probably more than any other disney song! so silly and easy to sing, and pretty much aplicable in daily life 😛
