From what it sounds like, this film could actually be cool! I’m not necessarily convinced though, Dreamworks have shown so many different things about this film I cant even tell if i actually want to see it. Guess judgement can only be made till we see the film itself.

In reply to GabzGirl. I don't recall them saying anything about it being a 'jukebox' musical. I think you have that confused with Sing, who's entire premise is built around the jukebox style of musicality. This appears more straightforward in terms of musical numbers, but with a popular song here and there.

It looks…passable. My biggest concern about this film though is the juxebox musical thing. How are they going to pull it off well without it becoming another Strange Magic?

In reply to Brittany. Definitely. This isn't a movie I'm dying to see, but it does have my curiosity. Also, it's got Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger as the co-writers. Those two have written all of the Kung Fu Panda films thus far and were able to turn out a decent SpongeBob movie with Sponge Out of Water, so hopefully having them on board can result in an enjoyable movie.

I think the designs look great, the felt texture thing reminds me of Yoshi’s Story. I’m glad they’re going more into fantasy world design (something I loved about The Croods), and the fun hippie influence. The characters sound good too. I know I’m picky about humor & tone though so we’ll see about that… Kinda iffy of them to release so close to Moana too. But I think it will be successful with kids because of the fun designs.
