It wasn’t great but it was enjoyable. Humor wasn’t too cheesy, animation was colorful and vibrant and the depth was surprisingly well put together.

I watched Zootopia

I just don’t expect too much cheesiness in pieces like Good Dinosaur.

If you think that making a billion dollars should be a sign of quality filmmaking, then perhaps you should take a closer look at some of the films that made $1 billion. That ship has long sailed.

There is a lot more to Hollywood than just the quality of a film. Or what you think is the quality of a film.

And yes, Minions is worthy of being a billion dollar film. It’s an example of genius, relentless marketing. Like many high profile blockbusters, Universal positioned Minions for a huge opening weekend, setting up it’s release as a big family event of the summer. And the Minions themselves are smart creations. Intelligible language and slapstick humor gives them an accessibility to all languages and countries.

Ok then

Fair enough. As far modern Disney movies go, I would put it among my top 3 (Below Tangled and Big Hero 6).

I only intend to be a little but I am not expecting it to be that great but I have faith I will enjoy it.

Go see it! The movie is bold with a surprisingly well-thought-out story. You won’t be disappointed.
