I hope the film does well at the box office, the film was a lot of fun.

Burton’s Alice made a billion+. I think it’s safe to say that Angry Birds will go the way of the Dodo. (Unless it does really well. in that case, go Rovio for making a video game based movie that actually made a profit.)

Pretty much. So Sony’s basically expecting Angry Birds to have a Pixar-like box-office pull. With a gamble like that, they better hope Alice isn’t a breakout hit next weekend, Otherwise they might be majorly screwed.

Right?! Wouldn’t that make the budget for the movie like $500 million?!

I saw the movie myself (before go seeing Captain America: Civil War might I add) and I thought it was a simple fun animated film with great animation, a fast, silly, very cartoony pace, some likable characters who I wouldn’t mind seeing again for a sequel, and mostly funny gags both visual, verbal, and physical (the film had some of the funniest slapstick I’ve seen in an animated movie awhile). Yeah, it’s not the best animated movie out there, it’s not a Zootopia or an Inside Out, or even a Lego Movie but then again it doesn’t need to be or have to be because that is not the type of film it is or it is trying to be, it wants to be an entertaining and fun film and that’s what it is. Like say Despicable Me, or Shrek, or even the Spongebob movies.

Also, I really don’t think you should be telling people what film to see or not to see, it’s kind of a person’s own choice to see what movie they want to see.
