The Disney Princesses brand can learn everything about how My Little Pony works to be friendly with character development, and Merida is the putative Daughter of Belle showed as a 40 year old mom & Queen, Elinor, in my cannon.

Brave reminds me of the movie and production of The Thief and the Cobbler. The movie took so long to make that Warner Bros took control, changed the name to The Princess and the Cobbler and added a few songs. All without Richard Williams approval.

This is exactly what Brave feels like. The whole sequence with the witch seems like it was put in by Disney and is the point where it stops being the directors, and even a Pixar film.

Merida from “Brave” does NOT ever truly belong in the Disney Princess line of merchandise EVER, period. She is a Pixar character from a Pixar film and that is how she’s SUPPOSED to stay. End of story.
