I barely smiled at any of the jokes. Plus, again with the whole conflict of guy who has dream vs. nasty people who don’t believe in dream!? Boo. There are other conflicts to explore! It seems like too many foreign CG film companies watch American animated films just enough to catch onto our most overused cliches. IT’s a shame, a dog who wants to be a rock star isn’t an especially clever premise but it’s a cute one.

There was a preview trailer that came out last year promoting a release of the film sometime in the fall of 2015 which never came to pass.

The original graphic novel this is said to be based on is VERY, VERY different story/character-wise. Here’s a few links with scans of the book (it was more regular dog becoming anthropomorphic in a human world).
