Also, Bob Iger wanted to thumb his nose at the analysts calling Frog a “flop” by saying that the audience liked the characters anyway, and declaring that Tiana would now have a PERMANENT place in all Princess marketing. So there.

As it turned out, worked pretty well: We still remember Tiana, she’s now a popular character, and maybe in another ten or fifteen years we might all change our mind about the movie itself…Maybe. Not as much hope for Brave, but at least Merida found new popularity at the parks.

apparently Disney considers Bolt as part of the era as well, since there’s gonna be a Revival Marathon in a certain theater, and they include Bolt. and Princess and the Frog has always been considered by majority of the fandom anyway.

Mmph. Shocked that Princess and the Frog is considered a part of the era, but I can see why. Interesting that Disney finally acknowledged the era. I do think Wreck-it Ralph and Big Hero 6 should be included, but they are probably banking on the “fairytale/princess” thing to attract more people.

Glad that Princess and the Frog and Tangled will get some recognition. But none from Wreck-It Ralph or BH6? Sure they don’t technically have princesses but they’re still Disney. (And no Vanellope isn’t a princess, she’s a president. :D)
