What a beautiful article, A.J. Here are some lessons I've derived from animated movies:

"Toy Story 3" - Changes can be difficult and it's hard to say goodbye to someone you love. You can't go back to the way things were but you made good memories. New experiences mean more good memories.

"The Hunchback of Notre Dame" - Similar to "Beauty and the Beast", you cannot judge a person's full character based on physical appearance or social status. Some of the most unlikely people are filled with great courage and compassion.

"Tangled" - Look forward to life and embrace it. There are new wonders to explore and new friendships to create. If life seems dissapointing, remember there's something better around the corner---you just have to go seek it out.

"The Prince of Egypt" - (So many values!) It takes tremendous conviction to stand up to tyranny. True greatness may be found in a humble desert instead of a great palace. Fear, despair, and the ingratitude of others may be a setback but continue moving forward in your mission. Every person's life is worth saving.

"Coraline" - Life may not be the hunky dory treatment you want with parents who fawn all over you...but at least they're not going to turn you into a puppet. Put your brains and creativity to the tests.

"Big Hero 6" - Grief can be overwhelming and turn to hatred and isolation. Reach out to your friends when you need them and it's all right to cry on someone's shoulder.

"Spirited Away" - A small act of kindness can be remembered and cherished years later

I'm sure one of my fellow writers is working on it. I've been working on this article for a while, though, and I just wanted to get it published!
