So I’m not going to get excited right away! Besides I got other animated things to look forward to. I’m looking forward to Kung Fu Panda 3 of course along with the continuing adventures with the Croods and the Vikings of Berk now led of course by Hiccup.

You have a point there again

There’s a difference between “devoting time to a project” and “publicly promoting a project”. This project is still in early development stages (just like Disney’s Gigantic). Sure, news has came out, but the thing is, there’s no promotional material to indicate as to whether this is “Me and my shadow” or not.

That isn’t any better. They and every animation studio on earth are always working on projects that we don’t know about (and we never find out what they are until they are announced).

On what universe would DWA be too busy on one project to devote their time and attention to others?

Jeffrey Katzenberg has stated that if they were to release a new IP into the market then it would be treated with the up-most caution (after the financial failings of Rise of the Guardians, Turbo and Mr. Peabody and Sherman). This news of a new franchise has just been released and it’ll be a long time before anything in regards to the shadow project is finalised for the public viewing.

I’m looking forward to KP 3 along with Croods 2 and HTTYD 3.

True, or like what happened with the emperor’s new groove. How the entire story, title and even production design was changed leaving only some characters, the location and 1 song.

It could, but that’s practically wishful thinking at this point. Unless DreamWorks outright says that the project is still in development, I consider it DOA.

Also, film studio are always announcing future projects while working on current films. I can’t name one studio that hasn’t done it. Only in an imaginary world is that ever considered an impossibility 😉

I highly doubt that. It’s a flimsy excuse with barely any weight behind it.
