It would be hilarious if they bring back Nanny. And you still can’t see her face. The more open nature of the show would allow for some funny jokes.

I hope they fix the more sour aspects of the show, out-of-place character traits, way-too-adult humor, and sometimes the tone of the show is just sad.

The reel they debuted online is how the show should have been. The way the first episode played out, it just did not feel like “The Muppets to me.”

There should be no comment blasting, the Rotoscoper’s community is usually very respectful of differing beliefs. 🙂

I understand your concerns, though I don’t fully agree with them. While the show has a tendency to do one or two slightly off-color jokes per episode, I would not consider anything they’ve done so far to be raunchy.

That said, I do think they could tone the jokes down a bit. I don’t find them offensive personally, but I know that there are plenty of fans that do. Even though I don’t mind the few jokes they’ve done, I’d still be happier if they left them out, for those fans who do mind.

I really like “The Office” vibe. Its unique to the muppet world allowing the viewer to follow a narrative, allowing these characters we love development we previously didn’t get in the show (although the movies did provide this). The problem with this format, it is a long term investment and requires top notch writing to pull in a viewer who does not have past affiliations with the muppets, or who has not seen previous episode. The shows that achieve success usually have to bring it hard in the entertainment department, allowing the viewer to have maximum enjoyment, regardless of when they may jump in to the already running narrative. I really want the Muppets to develop but they do need more time. Here is hoping they get it and are allowed to put on a really great show.

Hopefully it means they will get rid of the raunchy nature of the show and go back to the PG tone of classic Muppets. I don’t expect this, but it’s a hope none the less.
