Hmm… This worries me, but I’m gonna stay positive (Maybe a bit mocking of the idea) Until more details arrive. I hope it is good though! I have a whole shelf full of the Beatrix Potter books that were given to me by my mother who loved them when she was a child. Needless to say it holds a special place in my heart! (Admittedly, it will be interesting to see how the interpret they gorgeous illustrations of the books into cg..)

In reply to Dean. Probably some executives or filmmakers think that hybrid movies are easier, surer ways to make a blockbuster. This shouldn't be taken as prejudice against any particular movie (if it's good it's good and if it's bad it's bad, regardless of the exact medium), but it could be why certain movies are hybrids when perhaps they shouldn't be.

There was an animated series of Peter Rabbit that wasn’t too bad. There were humans, albeit briefly, in the books too. The style lends itself really well to film. My only hope is that they do it as practical as possible, to match the authenticity of the books.

I stand with Watership when it comes to rabbits.

But to be fair, I never even knew about these books until I saw the film depicting their creation this past Easter.

I love how varied Sony Animation’s slate is! It goes from Danger Mouse to Ghostbusters to Peter Rabbit 🙂 All of those projects are entirely different from each other, and I like that. Variety is the spice of life, after all! 🙂
