But animation is AMAZING! It opens the door to a whole new world, a place that can only exist in that part of your mind that is free and unrestrained, unshackled from any burdens of reality, where you can dream and create anything, where there can be monsters or miracles, raging torrents or blissful meadows, wishes come true or a truth found. We can create this vivid world of magic in our minds and bring it to life. We can roam wherever, and all of these wondrous worlds created can be for us all to enjoy. It’s beautiful!

Hmm, I really hate it when people say that. They probably haven’t heard of Watership Down, The Secret of NIMH, etc. Some of my friends like animation too, and like to watch any movie, animated or not. Everyone in my class knows I want to be a 2D/3D animator, and no one mocks me XD But yeah, it annoys me when they say “Nah it’s for kids! Something’s wrong with you!”. Fortunately not many people I know say this.

Animation gets a lot of hack from those who don’t understand it. Clearly these were some of those people. Animation is forever because it’s a timeless medium for all ages. Bullies won’t be remembered into next year.
