Cool podcast, guys!

I wasn’t too fond of this film. I basically expected it to be ok, and the film gave me just that. So, I wasn’t disappointed, but it’s not a movie that I’ll be watching again…at least, not for a long time!

I think I would have laughed more had I watched this movie with my friends. Personally I do like the squash-n-stretch animation but this film has “Sequel Syndrome” for me. The tech-heavy gags definitely date the film as Morgan mentioned and I prefer the first one for the dynamic tension between Dracula and Johnathan.

Watching the toned-down vampire camp for children frustrated me because it seemed that the film was trying to prove how un-scary monsters were (Wolfman chasing a frisbee, the Mummy’s lack of powerful curses) but they still like scary messy ghostly things! Isn’t that what makes them monster in the first place? And then just as Dracula accepts his grandson for who he is, he becomes “one of them”. A lot of silly gags wrapped up in a paradox of messages. It makes me want to crack open a DVD of “Hocus Pocus” and go watch some witches be relentlessly terrifying.

Awesome podcast as always ^_^ You guys are such a joy to listen to. I am pumped for Lilo and Stitch!
