In reply to Alexandria Lynn. Or maybe, it's traditional fairytales vs postmodern fairytales. The cultural clash could make the enchanted fairytale world "dis-enchanted" and be the plot of the movie.

I’d love to see a straight sequel – same cast, same art style, same everything! I want the whole 2D world with the classic music by Alan Menken. I don’t feel like we need to update anything. The original was so good that there’s no reason to change anything.

Weird coincidence, but I got an email from the theatre department at my university the other day, talking about how the organization Theatrical Rights Worldwide has aquired and released the play “Disenchanted” from off-Broadway for public use. The discription for the play is as follows:

In reply to Angelo Thomas. The Proposal did gross over $164 million and was loved by the rom-com crowd and Step exceeded the film's budget of $12 million hence the many sequels. But you are right Hot Pursuit was not a success with critics, my apologies. Because of Sandra Bullock in The Proposal I think I was getting mixed up with The Heat which did relatively well.
