This movie is a sequel, and actually, the third part. In the first one, it’s explained that an egg has three days to hatch, otherwise, it never will, and most of the eggs are pun-inteded, like the party egg, who is empty of it’s original content, but full of confetti. In Mexico, Huevocartoon started making e-cards with flash-based animation, and thus, they were originally intended for adults. You can still find them in their youtube channel, and if you speak spanish, they’re awesome! Look for “huevos Rancheros” or “huevos poetas”.

I went into this films with little to no expectations, had a complete blast. I know there are certain things that wont interest some, such as having to read if you don’t understand Spanish, but it is great.

In reply to Brooks Austin. It definitely could be a cultural difference. I'm also really glad it did well because it will hopefully mean more animated films from other cultures and I think it is great people can see what you can make with so little money.

In reply to Rachel Wagner. It's apparently considered a popular children's franchise in Mexico though. I wonder if this is a difference between American and Mexican cultures? Like how a lot of anime movies that are considered to be for kids in Japan might be rated PG13 in the U.S. to appeal to American standards of what's acceptable for kids? I'm glad this movie did well and I hope it will lead to more animated foreign films coming to American theaters, especially subbed.

Just to coment on the part of the eggs not cracking or hatching.. i havent seen this movie but in the first one and second one some eggs do crack and in a very dramatic way and they also explain why the eggs dont hatch..
