They did this in there spare time. Because it says they both worked on ‘The Good Dinosaur’ I assume they’re still at Pixar at the moment.

Did the makers of the short leave Pixar or been fired, or they just did it on there spare time ?

This short doesn’t have any official connection to Pixar if I understood right, so no it’s not gonna be featured before any Pixar film on the big screen.

The setting, tone and subject matter look very fresh to what Pixar has produced in the past. One can just feel the mystery build around the story.
