I’m the person Chinoiserie is talking about. I was told by a Disney Animation Studios employee (not naming who) that Angelina is still in the movie, as Jack’s pregnant wife and not the princess character. Clearly, Imna the warrior girl is now the giant. I have no clue if Marco is in the movie or not, but I’m presuming based on Angelina’s new role that he’s scrapped. Telling from the Storm Giants’ revealed looks (2 look like princes or some royalty), it wouldn’t surprise me if they blended Marco and a Storm Giant into one.

And Goldilockes and the Three Bears.

So it will be seven years since the studio has made their most recent 2D film. Interesting.

Actually, I liked the title changes too! I think they make the movie more recognizable and unique. I just find the adjetive titles for fairy tales funny! It’s even funnier when Disney’s been having “traditional” titles since Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Well, I’m so happy that Moana is still Moana. But I have to say I liked Tangled and Frozen for movie titles, and Gigantic seems good!

I’m gonna go out on a stalk and say that 2D is an unlikely route for this feature.

Disney had done both stories as Silly Symphony shorts. It would be interesting bringing them back into the silver screen in a new, refreshing way. They should consider other fairy tales such The Princess and the Pea or Rumplestiltskin.
