I have yet to be disappointed by an Ice Age movie, I thought the 4th one was the best of the franchise, I don’t know where they can go in a sequel, but I am eager to see what they come up with.

In reply to Iftekhar Ahmed. It's for a licensing fair, so in the end of it yes they are in fact "boasting", lol. But it's more along the lines of displaying their stats to show that the franchise is successful enough for companies to want to do a license with them to push/sell product. For example, Build-a-Bear having Minions and My Little Pony products.

So true. I hope this returns the series to its emotional quality, effort, heart, and soul of the very first one, or ends it, or best of all, both.

There is one really important point why Ice Age series should keep going people don’t realize. Just look at box office of this franchise and other Blue Sky movies. They don’t make so much money on their other movies. They need to make Ice Age sequels, because thanks to them they have money to do more ambitious projects, like Epic, Rio, Horton. So yeah, if more Ice Age sequels means more movies like Epic or Rio, than I will welcome Ice Age number 6, 7 and 8 with open arms.

I consider Ice Age the only good one in the series because the connection between the animals and humans brought a story with lots of hearts and it’s really sad that it became a generic kid series with talking animals, pointless celebrities (*ahem* Nicki Minaj and Drake) and solely for the purpose of making money. But then again, just like minions, it’s aimed for kids and not older audiences and kids love these characters. If they’re happy, who are we to judge you know?
