I like TLK2 as well, honestly thinking it’s one of Disneys better DTV [direct-to-video] sequels form that time when it was all the rage.

I honestly didn’t know who any of the voice cast was in the clips, though I do like that kids are voiced by actual kids. It really does make them seem and sound more believable in the long haul.

Now, if we get some continuity from TLK2 in TLG [like Outlander lionesses, Kovu, and other things], I will be such a happy and pleased fan [read: a squeeing mess]

hmm… I think I will reserve judgement until the series comes out. It’s great that they got some of the original actors though. I’m really happy that the character designs for the lions and hyenas are pretty faithful to the original designs but something feels off about the other character designs to me, especially the design for the cheetah. It feels like a different style almost, but maybe I am just over analyzing.

In reply to Harith Sami. Actually The Hyenas in the clip are not Shenzi and Banzai. The Hyenas are quite young themselves. Bunga The Honey Badger is a cub and they weren't much bigger than him.

The preview alleviated any concern I had for this series. From what I can see it looks like it will be a hit.

In reply to Crystal Lynn. Female lions might do most of the hunting, but they definitely aren't seen as "dominant" by the pride. The alpha male is the dominant lion of a pride.

In reply to Tim Tran. That's because of the new technological innovations. The original Lion King was created during the mid 90's when digital technology was far more limiting. You also have to consider that this is nothing more than a cartoon series as opposed to a feature length film, therefore, the feel and pace of it will be drastically different. I have faith in this series to be enjoyable.
